Accessibility Statement
At All About Sheep Dogs, we are working towards complying with Priority 2 of the The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We are continually making improvements to meet these guidelines, and our website has been designed with the following accessibility guidelines in mind:
- Our pages are designed so that they can be viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
- Page structure is conveyed using header elements.
- Stylesheets are used on our website and relative font sizes on all text with the exception of graphical text.
- Text can be increased or decreased in size by using the "view" option in your browser.
- Images that convey important information have alternative text. Where an image is used for a decorative purpose the alternative text will be left blank.
- No information is exclusively conveyed using colour.
- A site map is available to provide information about the layout of the website and is available to those with javascript disabled.
- Javascript is used on the site for certain features, such as "site search". All functions performed by these features are available to those with javascript disabled.
- A Skip Navigation to Content link is available on all pages
- Long pages have a link back to the Top of the Page
- All links, including those on our dropdown menu, can be accessed via the keyboard
Custom keyboard navigation for graphical browsers
- In any Mozilla browser, Safari 1.2, or Windows Internet Explorer 5 or 6: Press F12 to jump onto the drop down menu, then move around the menus with the arrow keys. You can activate a link by pressing Enter as normal, or jump back onto the page with F12 again.
- In Opera 7 or later: You can move around the drop down menu and menus using the A and Q [anchor navigation] keys, or using Spatial Navigation (hold down Shift then use the arrow keys to move around the page in two-dimensions - (support for spatial navigation is not perfect, but it's pretty good). You can activate a link by pressing the Enter key as normal.
- In Opera 8: You can also navigate the menus using relevant voice commands, such as "previous/next link", "open link", and the "move" commands of spatial navigation.
- In Konqueror 3.2 or later: You can move around the drop down menu using the Tab key, and activate a link with the Enter key as normal.
- In other browsers you can still navigate the drop down menu using Tab and Enter, or whatever keystrokes you would normally use.
